Abhaile
*Pronounced “ah-wal-ya” meaning home in Irish.
This project is about life after emigration. It represents the concept that the longer you are away the more the idea of home morphs. Neither home belongs to you but instead a composite of the two. The work began here in Toronto, my chosen home but has extended to New York and encompasses elements of Ireland, from the hills to the pubs and recognizable icons of Irish culture.
